In 1997, Gunter Huysmans became an accredited accountant-tax specialist at the BIBF and started his bookkeeping office in his own home in Lanaken. From 2008 Gunter became self-employed and began to build his accounting business from the ground up. In 2009, with the aim of expanding the office, he purchased a building in a commercial location in the center of Lanaken

Marion Ruette joined the office in March 2014 as a clerk. In January 1, 2016 Marion became a co-partner / business manager - from that moment onwards, Huysmans-Ruette Accounting was born.

Due to the steady growth of the customer base during the last five years, we expanded our office space in December 2016 to include the adjacent building to our current offices on Jan Rosierlaan. Our customer base currently consists of around 350 companies, of which around 80% are SME companies and 20% are sole proprietorships. There are currently 8 employees working for us.

Despite the growth of our office in terms of both customers and staff, we continue to strive for a personal approach to every file. A customer cannot be a number with us!
